Before a Disaster
Step 1. Find and record your zone (Orders to evacuate or shelter in place will be given by “zones.”)
Step 2. Sign up AlertSCC to receive notifications related to earthquakes, fires, crime incidents, hazardous material incidents, and infectious disease information. AlertSCC will send messages to the E-911 database, White Pages, Yellow Pages, and all registrations in AlertSCC.

Step 3. Prepare NOW Ready, set, go (actions and plans)
- Fires and Home safety: defensible space and hardening, and more
- Build Emergency Supply Kits
- Water supply: 3 days for 1 gallon per person + extra for pets
- Food: 3-7 days of shelf-stable food
- First aid kit
- PG& E: public safety power shuttoff
- Print out an OK Card (find information and help)
